Aquarion Again Offers Free Fishing Permits for the Unemployed

The water company is doing this for the third consecutive year

Aquarion Water Company is issuing free fishing permits to three of its area reservoirs for people over age 18 who are out of work.

On Friday, April 15, and Wednesday, April 20, anglers can go to Aquarion’s Aspetuck Environmental Center at 714 Black Rock Road, Easton, and present official proof of unemployment, along with a valid Connecticut fishing license, to receive the permit.

Then they will be able to fish along designated shorelines of the company’s Saugatuck Reservoir in Weston, Far Mill Reservoir in Shelton, and West Pequonnock Reservoir in Monroe. Permits to fish in those reservoirs usually cost $25.
