Keeping Young Minds in Motion [VIDEO]

Masuk High School hosted the popular Minds in Motion event Saturday.

Children practiced putting bandages on stuffed animals inside one Masuk High School classroom and a veterinarian lifted a real chocolate lab up onto a table, while making a presentation to another group. In other rooms, students learned chemistry, cooking and Chess. Those were just a few of the hands-on activities at Minds in Motion Saturday.

The day also had something for adults, such as a presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Bruce Wexler from Yale University.

Brooke Burling of Monroe served as chairman of the local Minds in Motion event, which was co-sponsored by Monroe Organized Voters for Education (MOVE) and the Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG). Burling is executive director of CAG.
