Writers to Gather at Edith Wheeler Memorial Library

Adult Writers' Workshop: Aspiring writers are invited to gather at Edith Wheeler Memorial Library on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to share ideas about books, stories, poems, memoirs and more.

Free Toppings: Frosty Bear Ice Cream Shop, 695 Main St., is celebrating the new sports season by offering up to two free toppings to young athletes wearing their uniforms when coming in before or after a practice or game.

St. Jude Italian Festival: The annual St. Jude Parish Italian Festival will begin this Wednesday at 6 p.m.

A Pot-luck Picnic: The Save our Stepney Task Force will host a pot-luck picnic for members on the historic Stepney Green, at the corner of Main and Green streets, this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. SOS will provide beverages, utensils and dessert.
