Duet to perform at Outstanding Citizen reception for Mellen

    Guitarist Pat Lavery and violinist Erica Schwichtenberg  appear as a vocal duet at a public  reception at Town Hall May 12 honoring Diane Mellen as Monroe’s Outstanding Citizen for 2014.

    The reception and light refreshments have been arranged in the Land Use Area at the Monroe Town Hall starting at 7:15 p.m. prior to the Town Council meeting at 8 p.m. where Mellen is to be officially recognized.

   There is an open invitation to attend.

    Students at Masuk High School are creating  a one-of-a-kind award for Ms. Mellen and preparing a video profile of her to be shown in the Council Chambers.  

    Mellen was selected as Outstanding Citizen for her volunteerism and philanthropic commitment to Monroe and the outside community.
