Newtown resident and graduate of Masuk High School, Mike Magilnick, is wrapping up production on a feature length independent film called The Reluctant Detective as the movie's post production manager. Magilnick is working closely with the film's writer, director, and producer, Christopher S. Lombardi of Stratford. Lombardi has put years into this project and is excited about sharing the final product with the public. The film centers around an actor on a highly rated crime television show who is roped into solving a real murder mystery while on vacation with his wife. The Reluctant Detective was filmed locally in and around Danbury, and stars many local actors.
