Monroe Chamber Welcomes Local Business with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

MONROE, CT – July 19, 2013 – The Monroe Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the grand opening event for Frosty Bear Ice Cream Shoppe on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 695 Main St, Monroe, CT. The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 1 PM.  

Frosty Bear Ice Cream Shoppe, owned by John Martin, offers a full range of locally-made ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt.  With over 30 super premium flavors, patrons of all ages can select from traditional favorites including floats, lemonade and milkshakes.  They also have ice cream cakes and convenient ready-to-go quarts.

There are 20 indoor seats available and Frosty Bear is looking to employ approximately 8-10 part-time scoopers. The shop will be open Sunday-Thursday 11:00am - 9:00pm, Friday and Saturday 11:00 - 10:00pm in the summer with fall and winter hours to be announced.

This grand opening event is open to the community and there is no charge to attend. Ice cream samples will be distributed.  Questions and reservations can be made to the Monroe Chamber of Commerce at 203-268-6518.
