Sprint for Monroe Seeks Sponsors

The Sprint for Monroe Committee is reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships of the 22nd Annual Sprint for Monroe 5K Road Race.  The race is scheduled this year for Sunday, June 1.  This event is a community tradition in Monroe, attracting hundreds of runners, walkers and volunteers to Wolfe Park for the event.

Last year’s event raised over $11,000 through the 5K race to the following great causes: Monroe Food Pantry, Project Warmth Monroe, Monroe Education Foundation, Monroe Volunteer EMS, Monroe Volunteer Fire Department, Monroe Friendship Fund, the Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski (CMAK) Foundation, Monroe Parks and Rec Department, the Masuk Track Team and the Masuk Color Guard Team.  The Race4Chase Kids’ Fun Run raised $7,000 for the Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski (CMAK) Foundation.

Becoming a sponsor of the Sprint for Monroe is a wonderful opportunity to become part of the fabric of  our community in a charitable way.  In addition, it is also an advertising opportunity for your business.  Sponsors receive advertising in our brochure, newspaper insert, website, and have their logos placed on our race T shirt and have the opportunity to insert advertising in our race bags.  Sponsors may also set up a table on race day to share promotional items with those who attend the race.

We also accept product donations equal in value to the sponsorship amount.  Please contact us for more details regarding this method of sponsorship.

Amy Primorac, the Sprint for Monroe Race Director, states that the sponsors are key to increase the amount of funds raised by the event.  “Our generous sponsors help us defray the cost of hosting the Sprint for Monroe, so that more of the dollars raised can be given back to organizations that benefit members of our community.  We simply could not do as much good for Monroe without a strong roster of sponsors.”
