The Distractions at The Bijou Theatre
The Distractions
Take two award winning composers, a former Editor-in-Chief of Guitar Magazine, a Fender Jazzmaster playing pediatrician who grew up wanting to be Jimi Hendrix, and a drummer whose performance career runs the gamut, from country to rock, from Toad’s Place to The Ritz. Mix them together and you have The Distractions. Members of the band have composed, recorded and performed for award winning films, an Emmy nominated TV show and one of them even founded the National Guitar Museum. The Distractions love to play the music you love and are really good at it!
White Lie
White Lie is a band reborn. After selling out the best known clubs in the Northeast like The Great Gildersleeves, CBGBs, The Barge, The Fore and Aft, and Bonney’s Inn, back in the ’80s, the members went their separate ways. At the urging of a promoter, all of the original members reunited in 2012 for a series of benefit concerts in New York. From the first rehearsal, it was clear to all that the spark that made this group special had not been lost. White Lie performs the best songs of Pat Benatar, Blondie, The Pretenders and more!
