A Bank Account is Open for A.J.

Donations to A.J. Rogers, a 19-year-old town firefighter battling leukemia, may be made at the Newtown Savings Bank branch in the Big Y Shopping Center.

Since Monroe Patch ran a story on A.J. Rogers being diagnosed with leukemia, generous residents donated over $700 to his family. Rogers, 19, is a Stevenson volunteer firefighter and a student at Naugatuck Community College.

An account has been set up for A.J. at the branch in the Big Y Shopping Center, 535 Monroe Turnpike.

Those interested in making a donation may ask for Carrie Milks at the bank. Checks made payable to Andrew Rogers will be accepted.
