Buyers Tread Carefully, Snagging Cheap Square Footage
Just one home sale in Monroe surpassed 500K last week, while other spacious homes were had for a song.
Of four home sales in Monroe and one just across the line in Newtown last week, just one barely climbed past the $500,000 mark. Buyers may be waiting for the big thaw--in mortgage financing as well as snow. The sales included a Southwest-style ranch and several sizeable colonials.
