The 12th Annual CT United Ride, a tribute to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, took place on Sunday as hundreds of motorcycles made the trek from Norwalk to the beach at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.
Led by police motorcycle escorts, the riders embarked on a 60-mile-route that went through 11 towns, including Monroe, with no lights and no stops along the way. Each fire department hung an American Flag over the route.
Many Monroe and Stepney residents and town firefighters lined Main Street to cheer the riders on.
The CT United Ride is the largest charity ride in New England.
