Major, Minor Road Work in Monroe Over Next Two Weeks

Monroe paving projects scheduled for July 21 through Aug. 1.

Monroe highway crews will be doing minor construction on three roads and major repairs on another over the next two weeks.

Crews are scheduled to begin work on Cutler’s Farm Road this week, along the section from Bug Hill to Aspectuck Lane. That section will be closed to thru-traffic during construction, with access for local residents and emergency vehicles only.

Work is also set to begin on Twinbrook Terrace, from Capitol Lane to Saxony Drive; Hattertown Road, from Huntington Road to the Newtown town line; and Stanley Road, from Route 59 to Route 25.

Workers will be repairing catch basins on Twinbrook and doing minor road restoration on Hattertown and Stanley, none of which is expected to cause significant traffic delays.

Construction will start daily around 7 a.m. and finish up by 5 p.m.
