Sprint for Monroe: Training's Not What it's Cracked Up to Be [VIDEO]

Monroe Patch editor tries to get into shape for the big race. The charitable event is set for Sunday, June 3.

Trying to get into shape for the Sprint for Monroe was an epic failure for me last year as showed. I make some real strides this year, but just have to do a better job of watching my diet.

Special thanks to Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service members Kristen Mosher and Brian Marcone for starring in this promo video.

The Sprint for Monroe raises funds for the Monroe Police Department's SHARE program, as well as a variety of other community organizations, such as the Monroe Food Pantry, Project Warmth and equipment for Masuk High School sports programs. Close to 600 people run and walk every year.
