Monroe Dance Academy to Perform for Camp Rising Sun

A Sunday show at Monroe Congregational Church will raise funds for a camp for children with cancer

Young dancers from the Monroe Dance Academy will perform in a dance-a-thon for Camp Rising Sun, a camp for children stricken with cancer, this Sunday at Monroe Congregational Church on Route 111 from noon to 5 p.m.

"We have a child in the studio who is a cancer survivor and attends this camp regularly," said Judith Abbatiello, owner of Monroe Dance Academy.

The show will be in Wilton Hall on the church campus on the Town Green.

Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance and $15 at the door. Family tickets for an adult and a child age 10 and younger is $25 with five dollars for each additional family member.

Proceeds go to Camp Rising Sun "Where kids with cancer can have fun."
