As the economy continues to sputter, could some people be playing the lottery more often in hopes of winning it big? Or are gamers tightening their purse strings and not trying their luck as often in Lotto, Powerball and scratch-offs?
"I'll still buy it, but not as many," said Joelle DeCarlo of Monroe, as she bought a Lotto ticket at FM One Stop Tuesday morning.
Another customers, who asked not be be identified, played the scratch-offs. He said he tries to play only with his winnings.
