"Discovering Spring"- Preschool and Kindergarten Enrichment

"Discovering Spring", a program for preschool and kindergarten students and their caregivers supports our goal to introduce nature to children at an early age so its benefits will last a lifetime.

Webb Mountain Discovery Zone is pleased to announce that online registration is now open for “Discovering Spring”, an enrichment program for preschool and kindergarten students and their parents or caregivers beginning in late March!   Due to requests from parents, additional classes have been added to the weekly preschool program in addition to Discovery Zone’s existing school field trips, birthdays and special events.   Each of these programs supports our goal to introduce nature to children at an early age, so its benefits will last a lifetime.

Each weekly hour long program will feature a story and craft at the Discovery Zone outdoor classroom and a walk along the trails tying in the day’s theme.  New this year is a Sibling Class being held on Mondays at 1:30pm where parents with 2 children between the ages of 3-6 are welcome to bring both children for a special price.  Each Tuesday and Thursday a class will be held at 2pm for 4-6 year olds.  On Saturdays at 10:00am, our fourth weekly class will be held for families who are looking for a creative way to spend time with their preschool or kindergarten students on a weekend.

Tom Ellbogen, Director of the Discovery Zone stated:  “We are committed to making young children’s initial encounter with nature a fun, positive experience.  Studies show that being out in nature at an early age offers unsurpassed opportunities for mental, emotional and physical growth and we believe our rich and varied ecosystem provides the perfect platform to offer children a stimulating and memorable experience, with important long-term impacts.
