The Enchanted Forest comes to the Discovery Zone this Sunday

Children are in store for a magical time as the woods come alive at the first annual Enchanted Forest at Webb Mountain Discovery Zone.  Families will be escorted by Fairies and Elves to meet a five foot tall frog, a Native American and many more friends stationed along the trails to tell about their lives in the forest.

Webb Mountain Discovery Zone, known for its very popular Spring Egg Hunt, now has a fall counterpart for the whole family!  “The Enchanted Forest” will occur on October 13th with three different time slots to accommodate as many children as possible!   Each child will receive a “passport” upon arrival and will fill their pages as they meet characters from the past like a Native American and characters of the present like turtles and owls!   Don’t forget your camera Mom & Dad!  For more information, or to register visit www.webbmountaindiscoveryzone.com or email any questions to discoveryzone@earthlink.net

The three sessions will be held Sunday, October 13th at the Discovery Zone.  The first from 9am-10:30, the second from 11am-12:30, and the third from 1pm-2:30.  Registration for the 1st child is $6, and is $5 for each sibling or guest in the same vehicle. Parking is limited to 30 cars, so carpooling is encouraged!

Webb Mountain Discovery Zone is located at 71 Webb Circle in Monroe. It opened in 2007 to promote outdoor exploration and learning, in a fun, hands-on environment.  The Discovery Zone has an easy to walk trails of over four miles on 171 acres with twenty eight learning stations and a self-directed scavenger hunt that was created by Hank Gruner, Vice President of Programs for the Connecticut Science Center in Harford with the assistance of Connecticut State Archeologist Nick Bellantoni.  Please note the Discovery Zone entrance is separate from Webb Mountain Park.
