Power Restored to Upper Main Street Tuesday Night

Trumbull-Monroe Health District is inspecting food establishments today.

A northern section of Main Street had its power restored with a bang Tuesday night. Transformers exploded and branches hung up on electrical wires caught fire prompting firefighters to be called in to put it out, according to Police Capt. Michael Flick.

Now that part of the commercial thoroughfare has power again, inspectors from the Trumbull-Monroe Health District will be visiting restaurants and other businesses selling food today to ensure it is safe for consumers.
