The Giving Tree's Still Giving ... At Least Till Friday
Social Services has Christmas trees in Edith Wheeler Memorial Library with ornaments and cards on what gifts anonymous residents struggling in this difficult economy want this year.
Those wishing to donate a gift and brighten the holidays for families in need can still take a card off Monroe Social Services' Giving Trees on display upstairs at Edith Wheeler Memorial Library and in the Children's Library on the lower level.
The cards will be up until Friday, but anyone who misses the deadline can call Mary Ann Kalm at Monroe Social Services, 203-452-2813, on Monday, to see what cards are left.
The cards give the recipient's gender, age and what they want.
