Your Monroe area forecast details:

Tonight: Moisture continues to spin around the area. The result will be a few showers from time to time, but it looks like most of the rain will be light. Fog will cause some lower visibility on the roads and lows fall back to around 60 degrees.

Thursday: A few showers are expected in the morning, but then sunshine begins to break through the clouds. With a bit of luck, highs reach the lower 70s and the showers come to an end in the afternoon.

Friday: Hurricane Katia passes well east of New England, but if you are heading to the beaches, be prepared for high surf. In Monroe, partly sunny skies boost temperatures to near 80 degrees.

Saturday through Monday: High pressure remains in control, giving us some splendidly comfortable weather. Fair skies are forecast, along with highs in the mid-70s each day.
