Why are you running? I am proud to be “from Monroe”; proud to call Monroe my home for the past 27 years; proud to be a graduate of Monroe public schools (Fawn Hollow Elementary School, Chalk Hill Middle School and Masuk High School); and proud, along with my Wife, Nicole (a lifelong resident of Monroe), to share and encourage my love for this community with my three daughters.  It was this passion, call it “hometown pride”, that encouraged me to get involved in municipal government five years ago and which continues my pursuit of elected office today.

What are the three biggest issues facing Monroe?

  1. Achieve educational proficiency while maintaining a cost-effective quality of life in light of declining student enrollment and reduced contributions from the State of Connecticut.
  2. Achieve sound, well-balanced economic development and growth while preserving Monroe’s natural character, parks and open space.
  3. Achieve infrastructure (buildings, roads, vehicles, equipment) improvements and maintenance in planned, fiscally responsible and most importantly, transparent manner in collaboration with the First Selectman, elected boards and commissions and the taxpayers of Monroe.

What can the (the Board or Office you’re running for) do to keep the town in the right direction?

As the legislative arm of Monroe’s government, Town Council not only charged with creating, vetting and enacting, amending and or repealing municipal legislation (ordinances or laws) but as importantly, reviews and approves all contracts to which the Town is a party or has an interest which, with its constant collaboration with all of the Town’s boards and commissions, puts it at the forefront of moving Monroe forward in line with the goals and objectives stated herein.

What skills and attributes make you a good fit for (the position you’re running for)?

My educational background (Bachelor’s Degree in government/political science and Juris Doctorate) business management experience and legal expertise coupled with the aforesaid passion has and continues to be instrumental in bringing sensible and fiscally responsible results to the citizens of Monroe.

If re-elected to the Town Council, I shall continue to work tirelessly for You, the taxpayers of Monroe to: balance economic growth and educational proficiency while maintaining a cost- effective quality of life; promote sound economic development while preserving Monroe’s natural character, parks and open space; and improve infrastructure in a fiscally responsible, transparent and collaborative manner.

I am proud to have utilized my diverse skill set to bring sensible and fiscally responsible results to Monroe. Thank you your consideration in re-electing me to Town Council on November 5th!
