'Blind Date with a Book' During the Month of February

Tired of your same old relationships? Need something new, exciting and stimulating? Looking to heat up your Valentine's Day? How about having a blind date with a book at Edith Wheeler Memorial Library?

Stop by the library between February 1 and February 28 to participate in our “Blind Date with a Book” program! It’s easy, fast and fun. Blind Date with a Book matches you with an unknown gift wrapped book which you choose to check out at the library, not knowing the title, author or genre. Then you take your book on a blind date by reading it and giving it a chance to make an impression.

Sure you might be disappointed; but then again ... you may end up having a great read with something you wouldn't have chosen for yourself. With each book is a ‘Rate Your Date' slip. Simply say whatever you want about your date; you won't hurt our, or its, feelings.

Even if your date turns out to be a 'dud' all is not lost. With each slip you return by Monday, March 18, at 8:00 p.m., you can enter our raffle for a $25 gift certificate to Roberto’s Restaurant in Monroe.
