Farmers' Market has Classic Tunes and Fall Food

This Week

Entertainer Julie Corbalis is at the market this week covering tunes from the 50's thru today’s hits, including songs by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Beyonce, Janis Joplin, Van Morrison, Dolly Parton, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, John Prine, Sheryl Crow, Sam Cooke and many more.

Students from Jockey Hollow Middle School will be selling apple cider, handmade loom bracelets and other items to raise money for "Help for Haiti" which goes towards providing school lunches for kids in Haiti.

Webb Mountain Discovery Zone will be at the market with information and registration details for their preschool/kindergarten enrichment programs that take place every Tuesday and Saturday. They also have a few spaces left for their full-moon night hike taking place this Saturday. Stop by their table to sign up!

About the Market

The Monroe Farmers’ Market is a seasonal market focused on sustainable and locally produced food. We offer fresh, locally-grown, certified organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic-free beef, pork and chicken, fresh pasta and sauces, pickles, hummus, gluten-free baked goods, prepared foods, cut flowers, herbs, handmade soaps, goat's milk products, cheese, raw honey, local maple syrup, jam, pies, homespun yarn, seafood, eggs and more!

All of the items sold at the market are grown or made in Connecticut by people who care deeply about the land and who make thoughtful, conscientious choices for its stewardship. Join us every Friday on the Town Green at the gazebo for the freshest products around.
