Learn how to brew and appreciate your own beer during this refreshing workshop that will cover beer ingredients such as hops, grain, water and yeast, sanitizing, fermentation, beer styles, history and more.

Tess and Mark Szamatulski, of Maltose Express in Monroe, started selling home brewing supplies by mail in 1991. Since then their business has grown and they are the authors of two of the best-selling beer recipe books, Clone Brews, Second Edition and Beer Captured.  Mark and Tess have been filmed for the Discovery Channel's series "How Things Work" and have been featured on Channel 8 CT Style and Time.com.  Their beers have garnered many awards in home brew competitions. They will also be opening a micro-brewery in Monroe this year.

Books will be available for purchase. Registration is required. Please register online at www.ewml.org or by calling the Reference Desk at 203.452.2850 x6.
