AT&T is proposing a 162 foot cell phone tower in a residential neighborhood at 30 Cobblers Hill Court. On Tuesday September 10th representatives from AT&T are holding an informational meeting on the impact of tower to Monroe.
The 162 foot tower is well above the 2 story maximum allowed by town and will be disguised as pine tree. The proposal will require the removal of almost 200 mature trees and will require leveling land to accommodate driveway that is almost 1700 feet long around wetlands. It will be visible year round dominating the skyline above the tree line within the Turkey Roost Road and surrounding areas
Neighbors are concerned as a tower is not needed as there is no significant gap in coverage as indicated by AT&T. AT&T has also failed to consider more responsible non residential sites in close proximity to proposed area.
