Masuk HS Student Honored with Lieberman College Scholarship

Allison Miller is one of five HS graduating Connecticut students awarded a Joe Lieberman Connecticut Scholarship.

The Joe Lieberman Connecticut Scholarship Fund announced Friday that Allison Miller, who graduated Westhill High School this year, will receive one of five $1,500 college scholarships, The Hartford Courant reports. Miller will attend Villanova University in the fall.

Patch reported last year how Miller overcame a brain tumor at 15 to raise $4,000 for the hospital in which she stayed.

This is the second year that The Joe Lieberman Connecticut Scholarship Fund has awarded scholarships to Connecticut students preparing to start college or going into their sophomore year. Applicants were judged on their outstanding leadership potential and record of community service.
