Good News, Bad News, Worse News

Day 4 of cloudy water issues. Deep end closed again.

Well, the good news is that the Wolfe Park pool was re-opened today. The bad news is that there is still a problem with the clarity of the water … DAY 4 … without a fix. The deep end was closed again because of the cloudiness of the water and the water again smelled of chlorine. The worse news is that a patch of thunder came by, and everyone had to clear the pool area for about 45 minutes.

Really though, that is not the "worse" problem. The worse problem is still this cloudy water issue. There are no signs up explaining what the problem is. There are no signs up explaining when it will be fixed. The lifeguards are either being left in the dark or they aren't saying what the problem is … and it has been 4 DAYS now.

People pay good money (in not so good times) to belong to Wolfe Park, and with the number of issues we have seen this entire summer, we should be entitled to some monetary relief. Give out refunds. Hand out gift certificates for 30% off next year's family membership rates. Do something.

Wolfe Park management? Hello? Anybody home?

If you have any trouble, email support@patch.com. The help desk will do it for you if need be. ButRead More changing your settings should work.

Hi Steve, To stop getting emails for every comment under a story, when you're signed on, click underRead More "Hi Steve" at the top of the page, and choose Email Settings from the dropdown menu. There's an option titled "Comments", uncheck the box that is automatically checked so you will no longer receive comment updates by email.

I found that I could turn them off in my profile under e-mail settings. However, it appears thatRead More this is now an all or nothing rather than by selected posts or individual articles.

Hi Steve, The comment stream doesn't appear on the homepage in the new design. Some of the sitesRead More that went 2.0 before mine did heard complaints about that. I don't know if it will be changed or not. Right now Patch is gathering all feedback.
