Which Monroe Restaurants Will Make Thanksgiving Dinner?

Most restaurants will be closed of the holiday, but the diner will be open until 2 pm. and Tavern and Roberto's are preparing pre-ordered meals to go.

Thanksgiving is best known for enjoying the company of family and friends over a home-cooked meal, but not everyone is a culinary master. While many town eateries will be closed this Thursday, Monroe Diner has some early holiday dinner options and Tavern and Roberto's are preparing complete meals for pickups.

"We'll be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a full menu," said Dimitra Tsilfides, manager of Monroe Diner. "Of course we'll have a turkey dinner with the traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry. We will have a cream of turkey soup and the vegetable will be glazed carrots."

Other choices will include Virginia ham with a fruit sauce and a prime rib special.

The diner is located at 568 Main Street.
