Deadline is Feb. 1 for Merit Scholarships at Kingswood Oxford

Kingswood Oxford now offers two different merit scholarships for prospective Middle and Upper School students, and the deadline for consideration is February 1, 2014.

All applicants to KO are automatically considered for these awards (no separate paperwork is needed), and financial need is not a prerequisite. Students must demonstrate high academic achievement, school and community involvement, high standardized test scores, and exemplary citizenship. The scholarships are renewable if the student meets certain criteria.

The merit scholarships are:

* Upper Prep Merit Scholarship – Up to $10,000 for 6th-grade applicants
* Martin-Nicholson Merit Scholarship – up to $10,000 for 9th-grade applicants

Students who apply to Kingswood Oxford by Feb. 1, 2014, will be notified of a decision (including information about merit scholarships) on Mar. 10, 2014.
