A Large Cat Sighting on Turtlebrook Terrace

A man walking his dog on Turtlebrook Terrace in Northbrook Condos at around 12:30 a.m. July 31 reported seeing what he thought was a large cat, weighing over 100 pounds, crossing in front of him and dropping back into the woods.

An officer searched the area, but was unable to find the animal.

Monroe Animal Control Officer Ed Risko said a second officer interviewed the man and a rare animal sighting report was completed.

No photos were taken of the cat, no tracks were found and no scat was seen in the area, according to the report.
