Animal Control Officer Ed Risko says a small dam at the outflow to a pond and minor feeding activity on Hammertown Road reported on May 17 is evidence of routine spring beaver activity.
Risko says he believes a two-year-old beaver was wandering through the area to see if it was suitable to start a lodge.
