Coyote with a Skin Problem Seen Sunning Itself

A Mill Brook Terrace resident reported seeing a coyote with a skin problem, limping in her yard and sunning itself for several hours June 25, before fleeing. An officer searched the area, but was unable to find the animal.

Monroe Animal Control Officer Ed Risko said the skin condition may have been from the mange parasite.

Common cautions and hazing tips were provided to the homeowner.

Hazing tips include making loud noises and waving your arms to scare a coyote off, discouraging it from hanging around on your property.
