Are All Survey Sites Scams?

Many people ask about paid survey sites and question their authenticity. While there are actual reasons why people believe that paid survey sites are scams, there are also proof that not all paid survey sites are fraudulent.

Probably the main reason why a lot of paid survey sites’ authenticity are being questioned is because of the amount of income that they claim people can earn. Many paid survey sites post misleading advertisements such as “You can earn up to $2000 a month!” or “Get paid $500 to $1000 by answering surveys!” While these figures may be earned by answering surveys, they can be somewhat misleading and deceptive especially if you don’t take some time to read the fine print.

In most legitimate survey panels, the amount that you can earn per survey can start at as low as $0.50 to as high as $70. However, you normally only get paid the larger amounts when you are fortunate enough to participate in a closely focused group where there are less participants. It is better to judge the authenticity of paid survey sites by reading user reviews on sites like getpaidsurveys.com.

Keep in mind though that paid surveys are not going to make you rich. You will be able to earn extra income from them but they will definitely not make you a millionaire. The two types of survey panels which you can find on the internet are the free ones and the paid ones. Many people shy away from survey sites that ask them to pay because of the notion that paid survey sites should be free. However, there are legitimate survey websites that ask those who wish to join to pay a membership fee.

The first type of survey site is the free paid survey site. These sites do not ask for a registration or a membership fee. You just simply register and complete your profile. The company will then send you surveys which they think best suit you and they will be the one who will issue you your pay check. The second one is called a paid survey membership site. Sites like these usually ask for a registration fee. If you decide to join, the site will give you the right to use their database which has access to numerous free paid survey sites (which are the under the first type). The site will even provide you with specific details and information about those sites.

Aside from the misleading claims on income of these paid survey sites, another reason which might have led to the notion that paid survey sites are scams might be because of those people who joined a paid survey membership site. Many people make the mistake of joining a paid survey membership site and when they find out that it only gives them access to numerous paid survey sites, they feel like they have been ripped-off. However, the truth is, paid survey membership sites can be very useful in helping you land legitimate survey panels. Although you can do your own research about a certain survey panel that you wish to join, signing up for a paid survey membership site will assure that you never make the mistake of signing up for a fraudulent one.

If you are wondering which paid survey sites are legitimate, there are a ton of them. If you do not want to pay for a paid survey membership site, you need to exert more effort in researching about the background of the company and in reading about them on forums to make sure that you are not going to key in your information to a fraudulent website. So, are paid survey sites legitimate? Yes they are--although you always have to keep an eye out for the signs of fraudulent paid survey sites. Have you tried signing up for a paid survey site?
