Mark Cataudella, age 22, of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday, January 14, 2013, the result of a fall. He is the beloved son of Michael and Louise (Redding) Cataudella. Mark was born in New Haven on February 27, 1990, and lived in Stratford until moving to Shelton in 2001.
He graduated from Shelton High School in 2008, and was currently attending Southern Connecticut State University. Mark enjoyed golf, running and playing softball in the Shelton Men’s Slow Pitch League. His friends were very important to him, and he was always ready to help a friend in need. The family trusts his organ donations will help to save another’s life.
He is the beloved brother of Scott and Rachel Cataudella, and cherished grandson of Florence Cataudella of Monroe and James and Grace Redding of Branford. He also leaves his loving aunts and uncles, James Redding and his wife Dawn of Guilford, John Redding and his wife Darra of Guilford, Lenny Cataudella of Manhattan Beach, CA, Celeste Cayer and her husband Gene of Monroe, and all his cousins, Reneé Cayer, Josh Miller, and Christine, Jim, Jake, Tori, and Livi Redding. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Michael Cataudella.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Friday from 3 to 7pm. On Saturday, his procession will leave Riverview Funeral Home at 12:15 PM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM at St. Margaret Mary Church in Shelton.
