Are You Happy with the Plan for Chalk Hill? [POLL]

The first selectman is allowing the former school to remain open for another year, giving more time for a public/private partnership for a community center to be forged.

First Selectman Steve Vavrek recently told the Board of Finance of his plan to keep Chalk Hill open for 12 months, so requests for proposals may be sent out and a public/private agreement can be made on turning the building into a community center.

Any approved bidder will have to present a formal proposal for uses in the building to the Planning & Zoning Commission as part of an approval process.
