Frmr Councilman Halliwell supports Stevens

Dear Monroe Taxpayers,

Earlier this year I had the pleasure to nominate Jerry Stevens as a candidate for Tax Collector in the upcoming elections.  Since that time several people have asked me, why Jerry?  As a former Town Council Member (18 years) I saw first- hand the workings of the town.  I saw that things managed to get done but there was room for improvement in the way things were accomplished.  Jerry represents what we are looking for.  He is a natural problem solver (you can't teach for 34 years and not be).  He cares for people and is truly one of the most well-liked people I have ever met.  He goes out of his way to get things done, will leave no job unfinished or task undone.  With a master’s in counseling, he has the people skills to increase efficiency and provide important communication.  I believe that Jerry will be a boon to the tax office and to the town.  It is in this spirit that I ask you to consider your vote and support Jerry Stevens in his hope to be our next Tax Collector.
