Garden Smarts Program Offered by Parks and Recreation

Attention all residents!  Discover the ways that you as homeowners and gardeners can work with nature to achieve outstanding results.  Harness nature’s power and develop healthy and beautiful landscapes and gardens – and save money too!  

Help make Monroe a model for sustainable community.  Join Wolfe Park’s Master Gardener Renee Marsh in this three-part series based on the principles of the Sustainable Sites Initiative.  Explore the role that healthy soil plays in successful gardening, understand how to choose plants suited to your garden and learn practices that benefit the environment and our native wildlife.  

Session 1 meets Wednesdays (March 12, 19, 26) at 7:00-8:30 pm.  Location:  Monroe Senior Center.  Fee:  $40 residents/$50 non-residents.
