A 22-year-old Monroe woman turned herself in on a warrant Sept. 23 charging her with DUI. The warrant stems from a one-car-accident on July 28 when police say she drove her 2007 Toyota Scion into a utility pole on Hattertown Road at around 2:53 a.m.
Firefighters had to extricate the driver, Ava Donadio of Beech Tree Lane, from her vehicle and EMS personnel brought her to the hospital, according to the report. Police said they later found that medical records showed a blood alcohol content above the legal limit and applied for the warrant.
Donadio was charged with DUI and failure to maintain the proper lane and released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 2.
