A Large Animal in the Laundry Room? No. Just Mice.

Monroe Animal Control officers investigated reports of a trapped animal, beaver damage and a lost dog.

Monroe Animal Control Officer Ed Risko said the dirt road was weakened by flooding, freezing then thawing on warmer days. He said the exclusion devices, which allow water to flow through beaver dams, will be installed again in the spring.

Lost Dog

A black and tan German Shepherd was reported missing by its owner at Webb Circle at 2:01 p.m. on Jan. 16.

Raccoon Casualties

A dead raccoon struck by a vehicle was found in front of Masuk High School on Monroe Turnpike on Jan. 10. Another raccoon killed after being hit by a vehicle was found in the 600-block of Route 111 that same morning.
