A 2nd Bobcat Sighting in a Stepney Neighborhood

A woman reported seeing the wildcat in her neighbor's yard.

A Birchwood Lane woman reported seeing a bobcat in her neighbor's yard early in the morning on March 1. Monroe Animal Control Officer Ed Risko says it was the second bobcat sighting in that neighborhood in since 2010.

Three years ago, a Birchwood Road resident took a picture of a bobcat (See the photo).

Risko said the bobcat on Birchwood Lane displayed routine activity and presented no threat to public safety.
