A Smash & Grab at TC's One Stop

Burglars used a large rock to enter the convenience store on Route 111.

Police officers responding to an alarm at TC's One Stop, 447 Monroe Turnpike, at 2:25 on Sunday morning found shards of glass at the bottom of the front door and a large rock inside, according to the report.

Surveillance video showed that two men got out of a white pickup and retreived a large rock from the bed of the truck, which they used to smash through the door to the convenience store, police said.

Video then captured the suspects walking to the back of the store, where police believe they were looking for cigarettes to steal. Not finding any, the burglars ripped the cash register from the counter and left the store, according to the report.

TC's has an absolutely sublime $6.99 Montecristo cigar in their cigar case. Thank God the robbers were neanderthals. Looking for cigarettes. Ha.

o.k. lets try this again, and hopefully the police internal investigations is reading, along with T.C.s...According to the Monroe Courier, the break in occurred at 12:20a.m. on Sunday morning. At aprox 11:45p.m. Saturday night (35 minutes prior to break in) 2 police officers with one car each, were seen on a side street off of Hattertown LOUNGING on the hood of their cars shooting the breeze. This is outrageous. SOMEONE FROM THE P.D. SHOULD BE CHECKING THE GPS ON THE OFFICERS' VEHICLES ON DUTY AT THE TIME OF BREAK IN...People in this town are at risk of being harmed because those in authority are not doing their job. This goes for a few departments within the Town of Monroe. Sorry to spout, but enough is enough.

Really what other departments of the town does this go to? All of the other departments of this town are volunteer which means that they're not getting paid to put their lives on the line; it also means that they don't have certain shifts they work unless they signed up to work a shift for EMS so maybe you see the ambulance out getting coffee or dinner.

Jenna, I was actually referring to the Zoning Dept because they don't enforce town zoning regulations and the Parks Dept/Public Works Dept who don't return emails or work order requests. Most of us work hard for our money, and I don't feel our tax dollars are being well spent.
