Risko said she described normal, routine behavior. Coyote cautions and hazing tips were provided.

A similar incident was reported on Sunset Hill Drive on March 16.

A Beaver Rescue

A beaver got stuck in a drain pipe on Mountainside Drive on March 17.

Risko said the animal had entered an exclusion device installed in a culvert and the complainant's son rescued the beaver, freeing it from the wire.

A Sick Skunk

A sick skunk seen in the Percheron Drive and Morgan Lane neighborhoods was euthanized on March 20.

On March 17, a Percheron Drive woman reported seeing the skunk hanging around for several days, but the officer who responded to the complaint could not find the animal, Risko said.

Then on March 20, a Morgan Lane woman reported seeing the skunk walking along her street. That's when an officer found the animal and put it down.

A Deer Fatality

A deer struck by a vehicle on Webb Circle March 14 had to be euthanized due to injuries it sustained. The 50-pound doe was removed from the roadway and a State Deer Kill Incident Report was completed.
