The following information was supplied by the Monroe Police Department. No arrested person is guilty until so judged in a court of law.
A Monroe woman became upset over her bar tab at Tavern, 262 Main Street, and allegedly threw a drink at the bartender during an argument at around 10:30 p.m. on March 1, police said, adding moments after she left the bar, a rock came crashing through a dining room window.
Nobody saw who threw the rock, but an employee jotted down the license plate number of a white Mercedes E320 that sped off, according to police, who said it led officers to the home of the owner, Uliana Demilio, 34.
Demilio told officers she became upset over being overcharged and did not throw a drink, though somehow a glass splashed the bartender, police said, adding Demilio said she knew nothing about the broken window.
Police said witnesses saw Demilio throw the drink, so that's what she was arrested for.
She was charged with breach of peace and released on a promise to appear in court on March 8.
