Blood Record Leads to a DUI After a Nov. 13 Accident

An 85-year-old Monroe man, who had lost control of his tan 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer on Shelton Road (Route 110) at around 5:52 p.m. on Nov. 13, getting stuck on a residential property near O'Hara's Nursery, turned himself in on a warrant for DUI on Jan. 10.

Alexander F. Trabka of Walnut Street was charged with operating under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane and bond was set at $5,000 for a Jan. 17 court date.

Police had applied for a search warrant for Trabka's medical records from the hospital after the accident, which showed a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, according to the report.
