Dousing Flames with a Fire Extinguisher at CERT Class

David York, director of Monroe Emergency Management, and Fire Marshal Bill Davin led volunteers in a drill on Saturday morning.

Volunteers for the Monroe Community Emergency Response Team participated in a drill on the proper way to use a fire extinguisher as part of their training to become certified. After graduation, these CERT members will be ready to assist police, firefighters and EMS volunteers during real emergencies.
