Did a Roxbury Couple Steal Their Own Car?

A car repaired at Hill n' Dale Service Station was taken off the lot after hours by its owner, who reportedly refuses to pay for the work.

Hill n' Dale Service Station, 456 Main Street, reported a larceny on Jan. 30 when a Mitsubishu Montero it repaired was taken from the lot after hours. It turns out that the customer's husband took it and the Roxbury couple refuses to pay for the repairs, according to police.

On Jan. 28, an officer had called Hill n' Dale to tow the car because it was parked in a hazardous position at Route 25 and Judd Road after breaking down, police said. The owner, a 54-year-old Roxbury woman, reportedly asked the service station to look at it and fix in.

After Hill n' Dale made the repairs, the business reported it was removed from the lot on Jan. 30.

The woman told police her husband picked up the car and that she refuses to pay for the repairs because she didn't want it brought to Hill n' Dale in the first place.
