A Stihl chainsaw was found in a shrub area between the Fawn Hollow Elementary School playground and Fan Hill Road at 9:41 a.m. on June 29.
Police said they do not know the value of the saw and that no markings identify its owner.
"We are attempting to identify a tree trimming company we know was doing work in the area," said Lt. Brian McCauley.

If the owner of the chainsaw is reading this, the saw can be claimed by calling the main number of the Monroe Police Department at 203-261-3622 or by coming to the station at 7 Fan Hill Road. The main entrance is on the Church Street side of the building.
