Fender Bender Leads to a DUI Arrest on Main St.

A New Milford man was arrested for drunken driving after police say he struck a 2002 Jeep from behind in his 2011 Ford Taurus in the 600-block of Main Street at around 6:36 p.m. on Oct. 15.

Jonathan Wolff, 71, of Warner place was charged with DUI and following too close and released on $500 bond for an Oct. 22 court date.

Police said the driver of the Jeep told officers she was waiting to make a turn when Wolff's vehicle hit her from behind.

When officers spoke to Wolff, police said they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on him. Field sobriety tests determined he was under the influence leading to his arrest, according to police.

At headquarters, police said Wolff refused to take a breath test.
