Fight at Fairfield Restaurant Leads to Charges

A physical altercation broke out in the parking lot of Joe's American Bar and Grill.

A fight outside a Fairfield restaurant led to charges for two West Haven residents. 

Thelma Saffold-Dixon, 50, of West Haven, and Robert Smith, 73, of West Haven, were both charged with breach of peace on Oct. 4 at approximately 3:15 p.m. 

According to police, Saffold-Dixon and Smith entered into a verbal and physical altercation in the parking lot of Joe’s American Bar and Grill, 750 Post Road, Fairfield.

Both were released and were scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 7.
