The following is a wrap up of fire calls within the past week (May 23-29):
Stepney Fire Department: Six incidents; 5 activated fire alarms and 1 odor investigation.
Monroe Fire Department: Six incidents; 5 activated fire alarms, and 1 smoke investigation from a legal open burn with a permit.

A Reminder
All residents are reminded that open burning permits are suspended during the summer months of June, July, August, and September. Camp fires are allowed with a valid permit from the Fire Marshal’s Office.
